Default Opting out v Private affairs

I notice that some escorts opt out of reviews, and others prefer that the experience is a private one between escort and client. I thought that those who opt out were once accepting reviews, but then, for their own reasons, decided to opt out. I assumed the others never opted in from the start.

However, there is a certain escort on here who used to accept reviews, then got a bad one, so opted out. I now see that she has changed to "prefers that the experience is a private one". I think that she is misleading the punters.

Is there an EI policy on this?

I very much doubt that ei have a policy on this, they are basically a hosting site that we, escorts, choose to advertise on. We are given the choice of what to offer, what to allow etc, it's the escort's choice, ei don't stipulate that escorts have to allow reviews/certain services to advertise here, it's entirely up to the individual escort.

HI Sandy. Thanks for your reply. I obviously did not make my point clear. I fully respect the rights of an escort to refuse reviews. The message that comes up most of the time is "Unfortunately, X prefers her service to be a private affair and does not want reviews". Sometimes you see the message "X has opted out of reviews". The second message suggests that the escort has had a bad review or 2, and wants to get rid of them.

This is what happened to a certain escort that I know. Now, I see her message saying " "Unfortunately, X prefers her service to be a private affair and does not want reviews".

I think that this is unfair on other escorts who never accepted reviews in the first place.

As a couple who are new to this, my wife and I have been all over the forums, looking for advice. It seems to be almost 100% across the board among clients that if you see an escort that doesn't allow reviews, you move on to another one. Of course you have the right to do whatever you want with your profile, but the consensus seems to just be so overwhelming that when we see someone who refuses reviews (regardless of the phrasing), that they most likely are a fake profile or there's something shady going on.

It's very intimidating for someone new to the scene. For better or worse, we've had to make the unfortunate decision quite frequently to overlook someone who looked just gorgeous and had an interesting profile because of what often was a combo of unverified photos and refused reviews.

Yes but I think that there should be a difference between somebody who for privacy reasons has decided to never accept reviews, and somebody who opts out after receiving a bad review.

I suggested before that you should be able to see all previous reviews, if the escort had previously accepted reviews. Then if they opt out EI just block all new reviews.
EI also need to change the way the current system works for reviews as it's easy to manipulate.

I absolutely agree with the first paragraph. The system seems to favor the escort in the sense that they have the last word in reviews. Which is fine. As a client it's my responsibility to do the proper research and if I see a bad review I have to make a judgement call based on numerous factors, including the escort's response. Doesn't mean a bad review is going to necessarily mean I move on to a different escort. Some clients are asses. But I can't make an informed decision if I can't see those reviews. It is not a balanced system and I hope in the future some things are fixed. It seems like it's complained about enough lol!

Sigh.... Just, all of this. It is unfair to the escorts who have always chosen to keep things private, because not being able to differentiate between the two is definitely going to hurt the amount of clientele they receive. Because there IS a difference between the two. On multiple forum posts I've seen clients and escorts who say there are those escorts out there who are lovely and keep things private, but as a client who has now had first hand experience in this dilemma, the husband and I will probably never meet with one of those ladies in this current system that doesn't differentiate between them and those who previously allowed reviews.

It is also extremely unfair to genuine clients who take the time to write genuine reviews. I absolutely believe that an escort has the right to stop receiving reviews should they choose to, but it should not delete all the reviews they have received. They have the opportunity to write a rebuttal if they do not agree with a review, and I think savvy clients can make an informed decision based off that. If there really is such a large problem with fake bad reviews being written, there should be an appeals system where the escort can ask the moderators to remove specific reviews, and if the mods find the said review suspicious, be able to remove it. I understand it is one thing to remove a review by a profile that seems to have been created for malicious intentions and has no community experience and prior reviews, but it is another thing to remove a real one, especially if written by those active on the site (in either multiple reviews, forums, or both.) The way things are now only helps those who are taking advantage of the system, and hurts those who are being genuine.
