Least of all a directory that is continually having the finger pointed at it for being one of the biggest pimps in Ireland.

We do have SWAI and several other organisations that can help if we need help.

I personally feel that EI could provide a better service for the money we pay, but with regards to advertising and this forum (which is what they are paid for), not for other issues.

If there are any sex workers on here that would like more information on what is going on I would suggest getting in touch with SWAI. Here is a link to their twitter page where they post up to date info regularly https://twitter.com/SWAIIreland
As a NI resident where already the criminalising legislation went trough, you may be much better aware of SWAI and their works.
An escort touring part time in ROI may not have had that much of a chance ?? Plus I doubt that are many "foreign" escorts on twitter.

SWAI has an account here too and they had exactly 2 posts so far and never updates from the proposed ROI legislation.
Don't get me wrong, I am very glad they are doing what they are doing and I am aware making the news public on twitter reaches a much higher audiance than on the EI forums, however their audience on twitter is very rarely escorts.

So yeah, most escorts had to rely on the forums and I really can't blame them. I don't think it's that bad either since some forum members seem to know a lot about everything. That's where I fall guilty myself I have twitter accounts but haven't used them since there seem to always be someone who gives updates.

Amy the guys here are just chewing the curd. They are not really a reliable source and it really isn't wise for anyone to take a debate on a forum as red. SWAI don't come on here because it's not good for them to be seen as coercing with EI if they want to be taken seriously. This is why I put the twitter link on here, so anyone who does want to get in touch with them can and I'm not just talking about following them on twitter. They also have sex workers as members.

I'm not really understanding why you think foreign girls wouldn't use twitter. I thought it was universal? SWAI is based in Ireland by the way. I have only been resident in N.Ireland in the last few months. As you may remember I used to work in Cork a lot last year? I've been actively involved with this topic for the last 3 years and mostly in terms with what was happening in the South. I sent my submission to the DAIL not Stormont, as I wasn't aware before that point.

Up shot of it is that they will be slugging this out again tomorrow, so it's too soon to speculate on how it will go. We will have a better idea by noon tomorrow.

She took over from yer man Alan Shatter when he fucked up in 2014 with the "penalty points" whistle-blower shite. At that time, he was good for our cause, stating he saw no need for this new law.

Frances Fitz decided it a career move to push the bill. She got it thus far in fairness. But if we are to wait til after elections, who knows who will be MOJ (minister of Justice).. But it could be her...

Lets wait and see. Saying a delay of 2 years is overly optimistic I'd say... lets see....
    Let's hope it not her.

Kate, you know very well some things I cannot mention on the public forum
Just think about it and if you don't guess it, just PM me and I spell it out.

    The Dáil is now dissolved.
The election will be held on February 26th.
32nd Dáil will reconvene on 10 March at 10.30am.

The implications of this I leave to those with more knowledge of politics to comment on.

Well it will be put on the long finger for a while and then we will see!
I'd say it will go through in most of its current form this year

Nope no idea what you're talking about. My main interest was to rectify the misconception that I know more due to being resident in the North. SWAI have their own website. No one has to have a twitter account to talk to them. I was passing information on and a thanks for the link would have been better than to go on about other people not having access to twitter.

Making assumptions isn't really helpful to anyone, which was my original point. Some of us are more interested in what is going on that others, it's as simple as that.

Looks like we have a reprieve anyway, so time to have some fun instead for a while!

    Great discussion Guys, thanks.
Think I misspoke in my original post. 2 years is wrong I think but law being enacted prior to summer recess is probably more like it. Real point I was trying to make if new gov want to make changes Bill will have to return to committee stage. Really depends if F.Fitz is returned to Fail and is appointed MOJ again. Would imagine new MOJ is appointed then they might want to make changes and resubmit Bill.
