No eagle for Oosthuizen on the 18th although he does get a birdie. Rahm wins his 1st Major title by 1 shot and becomes the 4th Spanish golfer to win a Major and the 1st Spanish winner of this tournament. Congratulations to him. Another 2nd place finish in a Major for Oosthuizen. Will he ever win another one again? McIlroy finishes in a tie for 7th place at -1. He showed some signs of a return to form this week until his problems at the 12th and 13th today but is still some way short of his best when it comes to competing in Majors.

Rahm has won the Irish Open twice in recent years. I wonder will he take part at Mount Juliet in a few weeks` time? Unlikely I suppose.

It was a very strong performance mentally by Rahm!! To come back after such a disappointing like the Memorial.

As all players say its incredibly hard to win on the PGA Tour, so many good players.

Nice story told by jon rahm about when he got disqualified from the memorial. Outside of his own family, the first one to ring him was padraig harrington. Rahm took inspiration from that phone call and i suppose the rest is history. Good on ya padraig, a gentleman as always.
