Patrick Reed drop 7 shots last night and Justin Thomas 6 shots no reason why that could happen to Matthew Wolff and Bryson DeChambeau . Rory definitely had a chance I expect Shane Lowry will be fav for next week Irish Open.

At the end of the 3rd round Matthew Wolff is the surprise leader on -5. Bryson DeChambeau on -3 and the 2010 British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen on -1 are the only other golfers under par. Rory Mcilroy on +1 still has a very slim chance of being in contention depending on how the final round goes. Still no clear favourite to win the tournament at this point.

PP have Oosthuizen at 10/1 at present and Xander Schauffele is at the same odds. They have Wolff at 7/4 and DeChambeau at 9/4. McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama are both at 12/1.

Bryson leads by 1 now from wolff! Match up really unless someone gets 2 eagles or a hole in one.

An average enough round for Shane Lowry today. He drops another 2 shots to finish the tournament on +15 and in a tie for 43rd place. Unfortunately McIlroy is having a bad round so far anyway and has dropped back to +5 after 7 holes and any outside chance he still had at the start of his round is now over.

Oosthuizen is still on -1 after 7 holes so I wouldn`t rule him out of contention just yet.

McIlroy has repaired some of the damage from the early part of his round. He is back to +3 after 13 holes and a top 6 finish is still a possibility for him.

Wolff drops a shot on the 14th and DeChambeau now has a 4 shot lead with 4 holes to play, He is surely heading for victory now. Unfortunately Mcilroy has dropped more shots and is just about clinging on to a share of 10th place on +6 with 2 holes to play.
