Matsuyama now has a 6 shot lead with 7 holes to play. If he throws this lead away he will be creating a different sort of history. Looks highly unlikely that will happen though.

Matsuyama bogeys the 12th but birdies the 13th. Earlier Jon Rahm shot a best score of the round 66 and climbs all the way up the leaderboard to a share of 5th place on -6.Originally Posted by westcorklad

Matsuyama drops a shot on the 15th and his lead is now down to 2 shots with Schauffele going on a birdie charge. Still 3 holes to play. This imay not be done and dusted just yet.

Horror show for Schauffele on the 16th after a triple bogey. Zalatoris is 2 shots behind Matsuyama after shooting a 70. There could still be more drama yet tonight.

Rose finishes his tournament with a birdie on the 18th but it was still a mediocre round for him. He finishes on -5 which leaves him in 7th place.

Matsuyama bogeys the 18th but still wins the Masters by 1 shot on a score of -10. He becomes the 1st ever Japanese male golfer and only the 2nd ever from Asia to win a Major. A landmark day in golfing history. Lowry finished up with a share of 21st place. A disappointing Masters for many of the pre tournament favourites especially DJ who failed to even make the cut, JT and DeChambeau who apart from his 2nd round struggled throughout.

Well done Matsuyama. Shot on 15 was little mad , thought he should of layed up but he got there in the end!
