Kisner and Zach Johnson share the lead at the halfway stage at -6 .A lot of big names will miss the cut including the current world no.1 and no.2. McIlroy and Dunne are the only Irish golfers to make the cut.

Well it’s a good open so far as plenty of lads in with a chance and I have a feeling this could come down to the dreaded last 3holes on Sunday evening. Best of luck to all of ye with yer bets as nice to have someone to follow over weekend.

Some superb golf played today especially from Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose and Tiger. I would fancy Spieth to go on to defend his title, and I think McIlroy will just come up short although the wind is due to increase tomorrow so that could affect the way the course plays.

It look like it will be a rough day for the players.

Congrats to Molinari who is the first ever Italian golfer to win a major title. For a while today it looked as though there was going to be a fairytale comeback story for Tiger Woods but his mistakes on the back nine cost him as did McIlroy`s as well. Spieth had a very poor round and never looked at ease with his game. So it`s on to Missouri next month for the final major of the year, the USPGA.
