RIP David Bowie, I grew up with his music, saw him in concert twice. It was only on the news recently that he was 69, I'm saddened & shocked. A very talented legend, whose music transcended many generations.

Noooo!!!
I had not heard anything about this. Space Oddity was the first album I bought, and I spent more of my youth listening to his music than all others put together. Surely one of the greatest songwriting talents ever, and always seemed like a nice guy.
I read an article recently about people who refused knighthoods, and he said “I would never have any intention of accepting anything like that. I seriously don't know what it's for. It's not what I spent my life working for.”

This is so sad. I only just found out
I was lucky enough to have seen him on the first night of his 'A Reality Tour' at the Point back in 2003, one of the best gigs I've ever seen. The man oozed charisma and was a truly unique talent.
