I did a 10 day sugar detox right before Christmas, cut out all artificial/refined sugar, only had it from natural sources like fruit. I didn't get to weigh myself unfortunately, as I managed to bring a cold with me back from Ireland, so I spent the entire 10 days sick at home, and only have access to a scale at the gym.

But despite no workouts for the 10 days, I still managed to lose something, I was definitely looking slimmer around the waist, might've dropped a kilo or so, and that's just from 10 days off sugar. Getting in to a regular program the has a bit of weight training as well as age-appropriate levels of cardio should get things going in a favourable direction.

I need you to return to Ireland and to be my personal trainer!

Get me a job back in Ireland and I'll move back before the New Year.

A kilo isn't much to be fair, I have over 100 of them. If I did a decent dump I would lose close to 1 of them.

It's a guess on my part, I've no idea how much I lost. As I said, I was sick the whole time, so no working out, and no weighing myself at the beginning and at the end to measure the difference. All I can say for sure is that I was definitely a bit tighter/thinner around the waist by the end of the 10 days. But that could've been just as much from being ill as from being off sugar...
