Ivory coast win 1-0 and are into afcon final. Its amazing that they have reached the final. They just won one group game and had to rely on other teams to get a best 3rd place. Then they beat senegal 5-4 on pens, then beat mali with a late goal aet. Is their name on the cup? They play nigeria in the final, nigeria beat them 1-0 in the group phase.

Celtic win 2-1. Now brendan will be happy. And so will adam idah, 2 goals on his debut. Couldnt have gone any better for him.

The nations league draw is tomorrow. Just saw the teams in each group and its possible that england and ireland could be drawn in the same group. Would ireland want to get england?

I doubt it from a footballing point of view as I think the gap between both teams is too big currently. That is not to say that the FAI would not be happy from a financial point of view.

So like it or lump it, we're in the same group as england. The other 2 teams in our group are greece and finland. What do ye think of that group?

Wales are in with iceland, montenegro and turkey. Northern ireland are in with luxembourg, bulgaria and belarus, doesn't seem to bad a group.
