A Giroud penalty gives France that same scoreline although there is still time for more goals.

I don`t know if they will. They were dark horses for Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup but came up short both times. The closest they have come was when finishing runners up to the old West Germany in Euro 80. Anyway they have beaten Iceland 5-1 tonight. France did beat Croatia 4-2. Portugal beat Sweden 2-0 and Denmark-England finished 0-0.

Fantastic achievement by Ronaldo, he has proved his quality, and also how selfless he is , many players turn their arse to international football to concentrate on club football, he has given everything to every team he has been involved with
