I don't see how it wouldn't change your life, even if you made minimal physical changes, you would be mentally changed for the fact you have security and options that were not available to you before.
I wouldn't make it public knowledge if I won. I'd have to bite my tongue. Mostly first of all I would take care of my son's needs and then I'd get my Mum to a specialist and get her the best medical care possible, along with my Sister. I'd help my Brother out who is in a non functional relationship, so he could either work it out or have his life back and I'd probably go from open uni to a full time course and be more thorough, as I would still want my life to move forward in the same direction. I would also develop on my artistic passions and educate myself better in that way.
I'd keep the car I have now, as I love it and I would put some in a trust fund for my Nieces and Nephews to make sure they can go to Uni and learn to drive without having to worry about money.
I'd set up a charity fund for children who have lost parents due to illnesses/cancer. Be that for them to continue their education or travel and embrace their life to the full in a way they had planned to do before their parent died. I would set that up in the name of my friend who was in this position and left her beautiful daughter behind.
Something I always wanted to do and could do would be to buy an old redundant farm and make it into Art studios, a gallery, tea house and workshops and the artists would have their studio place in turn for contributing to taking workshops for the public, so they can learn from their skills and they can sell their work in the gallery. It's so hard to make a living or a name for yourself as an artist and I would love to encourage and nurture people's talent where they don't have the money or resources to do it by themselves.
Lastly... I would kick ruhama off their perch and introduce a self help group for Sex workers, ran by sex workers, that would offer real help, advice, counselling and solutions. It would be a place they could come to in confidence, without prejudice or judgment.
