Ive raised it before a few times
They keep saying it would restrict new user interest
They haven't provided a better solution however themselves.
Something needs to be done....not necessarily this.

(The username who posted the photos earlier was still showing as online in the forum at 2320.......yet their profile says "banned".
Can they not actually delete the user to prevent them even logging in

So again we're back to what Lucy mentioned earlier about them caring more for site traffic than user security.

All very comforting given the nature of the business

It is certainly a good idea to put more obstacles in the way of these trolls. A few points on this:

First, the site could earn a lot of brownie points if they can do some successful detective work here. If the trolling was done by someone who has posted under other names from the same computer, which is quite likely, there is a good chance that they have left an incriminating trail. The Login History feature shows that the IP addresses used for recent logins are easily seen. The "dynamic IP" where this changes every time is becoming out of date, and even people with dynamic IP set will often be assigned the same one a number of times, or one that changes only in the final few digits. This issue is serious enough to be worth a bit of effort to compare the perpetrator's trail with others on the site. They might get lucky and find there is a clear finger pointed.

Note that poker sites regularly ban players who "multi-account" by logging in from different computers through the same wi-fi router, for example.

I like the idea of some qualifying time before posting - it is only a small obstacle to a determined troll, but it would prevent things like drunken malicious impulses. Increasing the qualifying time for pictures or links would not do much, as a link can be entered as text, and it would not stop lots of other harmful info like real names, addresses of escort apartments etc.

Another possibility, which might take a bit of effort, would be to moderate the first (say) 5 posts of a new member. This would be a small deterrent to impulsive malicious behaviour.

This smacks of someone trying to show her that they have power over her (power being knowledge) seeing as they got a picture off her facebook page that means they also
have other more damaging personal imformation about her (ie her name for instance) . Was posting the picture a kind of a veiled warning that if u dont bend to our will there
is more to come? We already had this very thing done on this site a few years ago but then it was a client whose picture and personal details were posted at that stage in fact
more than once, i suppose it just goes to show this can be a high risk game for Escorts and Clients alike and indeed in some circumstances lives could be ruined
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

A kinda like a learner driver no posting unless accompanied and maybe make em take a test before they become qualified posters and indeed a few of our current posters should be made resit the test too.

    An Inspired Idea

Ps The more i think about it why not go the whole hog and have penalty points with fixed penalty notices ,im thinking we have a few disqualifications

Yep that would be a good idea and let new people be allowed to join only during the day as well ,when the mods are on line
