On your second question, I think it would make the site confusing if advertisers could make up new categories for themselves. I wondered if there might be room for one more - perhaps "Companion" - to advertise platonic escort services, but I imagine that anyone wanting to offer such services would probably want to avoid this site.

I expect to give this information to any site where you are carrying out financial transactions, including poker sites, where I have had to give it a few times. I would be interested in EI's explanation as to why they need this information, as it is far from obvious that they need it.

I presume they do not need it to protect themselves financially - they probably ask you to pay in advance, so there is no risk for them.

The proof of date on is fair enough - advertisers can choose to validate their age, but this is optional. I don't see why they think they need to know your real identity, unless it is seen as putting another obstacle in the way of traffickers.

I have no problem giving my card to a secure server but what I do have a problem with is staff asking me for the same information and all the details one needs to use my ID as ID theft. Not being told why they need all this inforamtion, or what they did with the last ID information that was given in the past? I think I have a right to know what and why its required and they way any website also destroys ID information before requesting other copies.

When I was in the UK I never even advertised, if the odd time I did I never ever had to had over all my personal ID

And most of my clients are more worried about discretion and safety. And this is not the only type of work one can do either.loll
Surly by being asked to hand over all this personal type of ID to be able to advertise when we are working as INDEPENDENT ESCORTS then surly we are neither working for ourselves anymore or independent?
