Believe me you would be shocked to see what some people wear going up Croagh Patrick, high heels , jeans and night club clothes. My only surprise is more people are not killed there every year.
There was 2ft of snow up there one March when we climb it , we had all the proper gear + crampons and ice axe
On the way down we meet a group going up in the clothes mentioned above .
We advised them to turn back as we pointed out to them and made them lookup at the weather front coming in but they kept going.
