It could cause serious problems between UK and Germany. The UK wouldnt allow Germany to bully them like Greece or this place would. Word has it that if a referendum was called then the UK people will leave the EU. Tensions would be very high if that happened.

Ya and the UK were the only people who stood up to the Germans in WW 2 and now again. The Germans have proved in the last few years that they have changed fuckall since they were Nazis !!! Where would they be now if they did not get large investments and large debt write down. I think the EU could be starting to fail and it is failing the people

In Thanet South Nigel Farage, UKIP leader is defeated.
    Another party leader resigning.

    Craig Mackinlay, another Conservative, elected.

Surprised by outcome, hope Ireland doesn't follow suit and votes back in fine geal

I'd love to see the UK leave Europe, and even for us to join them as the UK and Ireland again, we where strong together and traded our punt of there pound
Europe been good to Ireland in ways, but strip us of alot things, Irish people fought and died for independence and we signed it away to Vatican and Europe without a taught..

Saying that hands up to Merkel who done what countless men have tried and owns Europe

It could have been a different story if more people had voted.
Only 66% of people voted, which is very low in stats.

And now, it looks like Britain has to suffer another 5 years a least under the power of the feckin' tories.
    Not good news really.
However, I do hope for a referendum as I think the UK needs to leave the EU.

All the UK leaving the EU would do is hurt the economy here and hurt the UK economy a little .People like to blame things .In the UK they blame the EU , stirred up by populist politicians. Ireland's economy was damaged by crazy borrowing by Irish people led by inept politicians and bankers. The fact of a low European interest rate and money sloshing round didn't mean that Ireland needed to lose the run of itself , if people had been more wise. The Germans have helped to keep the place afloat since, admittedly out of self interest.
A somewhat shrinking economy and less money around, not wise Tiffany.
In a survey of UK business, about 63% were against a UK exit.

Little Englander mentality is alive and well.
In world terms, Britain is a relatively small country on the edge of Europe reliant on world trade.Increasing barriers won't help you.
You no longer have an empire to rob.
