I agree with Cable.... I really cant see evidence of posting on a forum crucial to a court appearance unless one is trying to prosecute a murder or serious crime. A guy caught with his pants around his ankles with a wad of twenties in his hand should be sufficient.

If anything these boards will become more important to those that tend to ride the storm. The only real way to see if any impact of proposed legislation is enforced is by reading here. I would expect reviews to die off tho...

E-I will adapt to suit the situation, people will have to be careful what been said on here too as it will all change, reviews will probably disappear or fade out, Escort pictures and detailed favorites and so on will not be displayed and I think most escorts will leave Ireland as no point in paying advertising if not making any money so will the staff at E-I be affected as will the workload be the same.

Whatever happens with the introduction of the new law, I very much doubt that posting on an escort website can or will be used as evidence. What can they prove, you answered or started a post, that's not going to be against the law.

We have radical jihadists posting about slaying/murdering Westerners & accessing websites advocating violence towards the West, you don't see these guys being arrested in droves. Therefore, using this reasoning, I personally think that everyone is panicking & that IF you are arrested that the Gardaí are going to go to the time & effort to seize phones/laptops to gather all this evidence. I very much doubt that this will happen.

There is one small point that has been overlooked in this debate, MANPOWER. I'm not being sexist, but the Guards don't have the Manpower to undertake the tasks that are required of them as it is. The force has been systematically demoralized by cutback after cutback in manning levels, overtime and equipment over the last six plus years and they are dealing with a courts system that wastes so much of their time it's not funny. Sit in any District Court for one morning and look at the number of cases, For Mention, Deferred, Reschedualed, etc. So I would ask our great legislators what magic trick are they going to make happen to produce the guards to implement this new legislation and police a forum like this ?
Most politicians can't see beyond their arse even if they are looking backwards.
