The best the Gardai could do is get your actual IP address from here, but I'd imagine the site isn't going to be handing out IPs of their members, plus there's no legal obligation to do so anyway, since it's hosted in a different country and not subject to Irish law.

The other thing, is even if they got the IP they'd still have to force your details (name & address) out of your Internet Service Provider. ISP's get quite cagey about this since it directly violates their confidentiality agreement with their customers. The entertainment industry hasn't had much luck these last 7+ years either.

Put simply, there's little reason to be concerned. It's going to be extremely difficult for the authorities to gain your details from here if you're careful yourself.

I have said many times in the past that any new law trying to ban the use of escorts will be partly attributable to this website. It is like a ‘red rag to a bull’ in respect of the dogooders and religious fruitcakes.

It will inevitably stoke up support for a ban on paid sex when people see that any child can access the website and be educated on all the various perversions on offer.

Escorts’ ‘preferences’, explicit photos, reviews, forums etc. should only be capable of being viewed by paying members. It could be only €1 a year but it is the principle that counts.

E-I have argued in the past that it would be more work for them but I think that more work would be better than no work at all.

Escorts aren't likely to store your number in their phone either as phone get lost hunny.
Discretion is very important for my clients and and I take this very seriously.
Also really a phone number in a phone actually proves nothing as if you met before the law it wasn't illegal.
Escorting will be legal under new laws there is no reason an escorts phone should be examined unless an awful incident has taken place or she is a suspected criminal. If your number is in a trafficking victims possession that's illegal but that's already illegal now.

I agree calm down and just plan what you want to do when the new law comes in.

if you pay, then there is a payment linked to a user account, and you are no longer anonymous. Even with an IP address, you can have any number of housemates using the same IP address.... Stop wasting time on what ifs, and get hunting.
