When you install the Facebook app it requests you sync your contacts, if you have the ladies number saved or she has yours then you have a connection it picks up on and suggests you are friends.

This is why I don't use FB on my mobile phone, and why I always opt-out of 'syncing' everything or using 'cloud' services; it records and saves EVERYTHING, and I definitely don't want some things 'leaking'...

I will NEVER have any FB app on my phone. If you really want to worry, read up on FB's "shadow profiles". FB are poison to privacy.

That was it , it all happened when I got the new iphone 6 .

I must have allowed FB to sync with my contacts when I setup the app. Because all the new friend suggestions were in my phone book ......lesson learned .

I think it's time that I started to be more careful and download a separate browser and use private browsing while using this site. I'll also change my email addresses just to be on the safe side.

As a personal phone number,you should have a personal email as well.
Never mix them up.
Same with the password,sometimes ppl use always the same,but just in case,try to have few for different accounts,bank cards,phones,in case that somebody find out your password at less he wont get into all your accounts.
