Wishing every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Let's hope that you all find love, peace and happiness over this festive period, putting aside all differences for a little while and enjoying the Christmas spirit.

Quite often, Christmas can be the saddest and loneliest time of year for a lot of people too, so for those of you that are feeling down this year, you're not alone, and our thoughts are with you all. Personally, 2014 has had its highlights, but very few and far between, and to be honest, I have felt very low, and I cannot wait for this year to be over and done with. However, that said, we only have a week until the end of this year. I won't be out bringing in the New Year this time round, but I will wake up on the 1st with new optimism and a lighter heart, looking forward to a fresh start and putting the bad times behind. My partner has been a huge support to me through all this, and although she won't be reading this, I appreciate her for everything.

So, enjoy your time with your friends and family and your loved ones over the festive season, overindulge (and later ask for forgiveness!), take plenty of photographs, laugh, have fun and cherish every moment. There are too few holidays in the year when we can all come together like this (as commercial as Christmas has become!). To those of you working over Christmas, let's hope that your shifts are over and done with quickly so you can get back home and appreciate some time in peace to relax.
