I had a dentist appointment the day before an appointment and ever since the appointment the top of my mouth has been sore but with no blisters. Just an annoying pain now and again. I'm thinking if it could be an sti?
Between 36 and 48 hours after infection you start to notice some traces of yellowish discharge at the tip of your knob. Over the next day or two this becomes a continuous oozing of pus. By this point whenever you go to the toilet it feels like you are pissing out molten lava. Horribly painful. Believe me - if you have the clap you won't be in any doubt about it.

I think one can assume a conscientious escort is as clean as a whistle. Their personal hygiene is of utmost importance to them. They would be very much aware of sexual diseases. and therefore take way more cleanliness precaution. I'm not in any way suggesting that civvy street girls are not also conscious of their personal hygiene, just working girls are more so, regardless of how many times they have intimate contact...
As I said, I may have to stand corrected....I contracted gonorrhea from an escort here in Ireland in 2009. I could say that it was due to OWO and that we are all taking a risk when we engage in these practices (which is true). However, the fact is that gonorrhea is so infectious, even if you receive covered oral sex, you can still contract it (for example, if the escort sucked or licked your balls and some bacteria from her saliva found its way to your urethra).
Bottom line is the most infectious (if not the most serious) diseases are very difficult to avoid contracting if you have sexual contact with an infected person.

And I agree that escorts are very careful about their sexual health. However, you often see guys on these boards writing that you are less likely to catch something off an escort than, for instance, a one-night stand after a night out. This seems very naive to me.
Unless an escort receives a fresh health check after every single appointment every day, there is always a chance (a slim chance at least) she has acquired something from a previous client that could be passed on to someone else (particularly if she provides OWO).
My overall point is that sexual health is a serious issue for all of us and punters shouldn't be in denial of the risks involved in this pasttime.

I suppose semen could be passed on into the girls mouth, and then she might swallow it ,,,or bite your penis....terrifying thought
One has to bear in mind that many cases of Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are asymptomatic, so you dont necessarily need to have symptoms to be infected and pass it on to another escort. It may not be convenient, but its best to get tested regularly, as long term asymptomatic Chlamydia infection can affect male fertility.
JamesCork - sorry but you are incorrect. Increasing number of partners directly correlates with increased chance of STI acquisition.
You can catch infections such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Herpes, HPV (Warts) through OWO. There is also a very low to negligible risk of acquiring HIV. There have been ~20 reported cases globally in 25 years, and it seems the risk is for the receptive partner (i.e. the person sucking you).
There are also risks of acquiring Hepatitis B and C. There is a vaccine for Hepatitis B available, so I'd recommend getting a course of injections to protect yourself, as it can spread easily through blood.
