I believe that there is a greater force. So I believe it is important to remember carma, hard work and positive thinking.

I was a catholic but I can't reconcile god & religion with death and destruction of this world & the death & murder of children and other innocents
    Short answer =NO
The burden of proof lies with the believers.............and ive yet to see a shred to prove anything other than they are wasting their time.

Actually, now that you mention it, I've had time to think about it, and concluded that no, I guess I don't have any morals.

    I've seen the light, everyone!

But the funny thing is that simple blind faith has helped multitudes endure oppression and poverty over the centuries without going mad!

Religion is the opium of the masses.
The rich and powerful use religion to keep the
poor happy with their meagre lot on this earth.
The promise of eternal life or 74 virgins keeps them poor
    ignorant and compliant.
Do you really think Jesus said
It is harder for a rich man to enter heaven , than it is for a camel to pass
through the eye of a needle ( a mountain pass or gate in reality )
No it was a rich man to keep the poor happy and feeling superior.
As a culture or nation gets richer and more educated it's religious fervour becomes less
Now it's Africa and South America where the catholic populations live.
Did you notice that none of the oil rich and educated states have militant Muslims.
Even in Britian the majority of the Militant Muslims are in the poorer city in the north and
    not in the affluent south.
I am who I am and I am happy with who I am.

i agree with much of what you say, but there is a big al qaeda presence in saudi arabia. bin laden was born in saudi arabia as well

Oh they can believe in what they want if they get something from it..........Their beliefs have been been at the centre of just as much death and heartache unfortunately.
We're even so, but the burden of proof is still on their side

The first thing I'll point out is that most of today's terrorists are Saudi or funded by Saudis!

You forget that there most of the western world is still Christian - I agree however that religion is the opium of the masses!

A lot if these wars are about money rather than religion- why are the US UK et al so keen on 'saving' Iraq & Iran - money I say!

Because I have never been to North Korea, may be I should just decide to believe it is not there?
