Well, pardon the hell out of me, Mr. Johnboy2. I'm stuck using my phone from a cafe at the moment, so I can't really produce an instant response to your rather rudely phrased comments.

And do forgive my rapidly aging memory, some of the dubious reports I'm thinking of may have been produced/published by the Immigrant Council, who have the same agenda as Ruhama and have worked side by side with them on the TORL campaign.

Just looking at their accounts,in 2013 they got €580,000 between government grants and public donations and bank interest, yet on the balance sheet they have around €280,000 cash.
People need to delve into the figures re people they 'help' 98 new customers in 2013, around 70 that they encounter on their bus.
Very glossy and slick looking report.

I don't know of anyone on this site who would condone trafficking, but looking at the figures in the report it is all smoke and mirrors, the media release says they helped 305 women from 35 countries, but the figures are actually that they helped 96 women in 2013, the remainder are women still accessing their services from previous years. The figures for trafficking are at odds with the governments own figures from the Dept of Justice. If my memory serves me right the number of cases of trafficking for sex was in the late teens, with most of those being Irish people moved across county boundaries. Also if you look at the figures for "suspected" victims of trafficking there are only 17 suspected victims in 2013, much closer to the Dept of Justice figures. I have no issue with Ruhama in what they claim they are trying to do, I do however think that they are massaging the figures to ensure increased funding and keep a few people in jobs.

I think you can tell when someone isn't happy. It shows in their eyes. That is where they went wrong with the first one. The eye contact with the camera is way too sexy to be forced. She looks a lot older than they are portraying as well, even when they dress her down. The make up is immaculate. I'm not sure they would be able to do that with someone who wasn't happy.

Okay I know sometimes they are coerced by pretending to be boyfriends and can pose for pictures like that, but it would be less posed and certainly not immaculate like that.

The lady below, has a defiant look about her. She doesn't look scared, she looks angry and she also doesn't look sexy and I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I know of many clients that would be happy to see a lady with a cut lip like that. Most would be worried and most would ask her if she was okay and some would report it. Many would not go through with the booking, or pay but not play.

The lady in the last one. They may get one picture using that method, but I'm guessing these people have not seen the kind of profile pics that get used. In fact the reality is, it's much more likely to be a bait and switch than the real lady posing. This is one of the reasons why it is so important that clients should not stay if the wrong woman comes to the door. How do you know that she is not coerced or trafficked if she hasn't posed for the pictures herself?

With all things, communication is key. If they are so intent on cutting off the lines of communication... there is no hope!
