School Prefect

Watching the Wright Stuff this morning on Ch 5 and they're talking about school prefects and elections in schools.

It reminded me that when I was at school the prefects were chosen by the Teachers and they did it in two phases. My best friend was made a prefect in the first phase and I finally got awarded prefect in the second phase. Of course I should have got it first, they must have got it the wrong way round.

Where you a prefect at school? Or any Head boys or Head girls amongst us?

Yes, I was, but 90% of the year were made into prefects. It was more of a case of punishing the bad kids by not making them prefects. That said, my title was short lived, as my friend (who wasn't a prefect) and I decided to throw another pupil that was a non-prefect out of the common room window, as only prefects were allowed in that room.

never would of made prefect but I was a 'perfect' bully basher

walking out of school on my first day at secondary school & one of the 5th year boys who I had met while staying with a friend over the summer (he was always being mean to us) started to take the piss out of me, calling me names & pulling my hair, showing off infront of his friends. I punched him & we ended up proper scrapping outside school. After that I had a bit of a rep. I always liked the clever kids so ended up fighting the bullies anytime they got grief ...
