Two sides fighting each other : awful.

An airliner of no involvement in those two sides' dispute to be blown out of the sky , with unsuspecting innocent people

the world has always been like this and will be for the foreseeable future. The jails are still full in the 21st century and the news is on every single day of the week. Its a harsh world.

It is for me personally unexplainable what is going on in the world today. To look at the events today , in Gaza and in Ukraine and not be shocked and just speechless. I was somewhere today when the report came on television news about the airliner , was in a meeting when someone came into room to say that a plane had gone down , there was complete silence and we moved outside to listen on TV. Then the attack on Gaza ????? How a country can bomb a beach and kill 4 children and continue its bombardment tonight. If you look at some of the images from Gaza , look at the people and parents that have lost children , Babies , graphic photographs isn't the word and they continue to kill and murder these people. Israel deserves no sympathy they are terrorists.
And the plane ??? How can someone get that wrong ? Again innocent people caught up in madness.

The photos below show the hate the Israelis have , look at the man , throwing a rock at the tank , and the tank gun pointing directly at him ???

These are beautiful countries , I have been to both , but tonight my heart goes out to those poor people and what they are experiencing. I drove alone the wall that was built to separate them , I saw the defence systems they have , and the might the Israelis have militarily supported by and supplied by America. The Israelis say they have aright to defend themselves ? Yes they do , but they don't have the right to murder innocent children and defenceless people.
The world is gone mad today and tonight it's very sad.

And remember here in our own small 'Green' community, there are horrors too! We daily shirk our responsibilities to the greater world but I guess it's what keeps us sane. Better to query the wisdom of the Express Checkout than dwell on the darker side of humanity.

It's what you do in your own life to make a difference is I guess the only thing that's ultimately important.

Fair point. But when the lessons learned there and all the bullshit that was talked about by the Countries that condemned it and placed sanctions and had emergency summits to discuss retribution. These same countries are allowing what is happening tonight to happen. They are allies of Israel so they are as much responsible for the suffering of these poor people in Gaza. They have nothing , they have no F16 fighters , no fancy missile defence system , they are alone tonight and my heart and prayers are with them.

Sure and millions died in the Black Plague , and also the Flu Pandemic of 1918 killing between 50-100 million worldwide ;

Sure many died horrific deaths in WWI , WWII , Nam , Korea , Cambodian Khmer Rouge , China revolutions , etc.

South American dictatorships , Pinochet , etc. ; 1848 Ireland before , and after. Does that make today any less awful ?

Many have been tortured , raped , murdered through the ages. Died of disease , of betrayal , of horrors.

That does NOT make today any less shocking and wrong.

How about the famine in Ethiopia in the 80s , or in Somalia some time later ? How about the beheadings of innocents ,

and the suicide bombings that go on each day , day after day. It's horrific all in its own , yet all those horrors do NOT

lessen the wrongness and sadness and shock of today.
