Well when one has suffered under the opression of the other for 800 yrs u will always have differences in how things are viewed
and how opinions are formed. While this may not seem as obvious in everyday life if u scrape the surface it is always there.

The Irish are shorter than the English and not as good looking because of the poor diet and a throwback to the famine. One Eastern European girl told me she was surprised how small irish guys were and most were more like the average height for women back home. Besides this I don't think irish guys take themselves as seriously as the English and can laugh at ourselves.
