    Thumbs down Justice

A British businessman accused of organising his wife's murder while on honeymoon in Cape Town is due to be flown to South Africa this week after a hard-fought legal battle against extradition.

Shrien Dewani, 34, a care-home owner from Bristol, will reportedly fly from London Heathrow airport on Monday night and is expected to make a brief court appearance the following day.

He is accused of ordering the murder of his wife, Anni, 28, in November 2010, who was shot as the couple travelled in a taxi through the Gugulethu township while on honeymoon.

    Finally some justice....

You would hope so, but I wonder if the legal system South Africa use - no jury, just a Judge with two assistants works?

Hi Jericho, make no mistake South Africa has its flaws in many ways but justice can not be bought. The judge
has to go through extensive studies and channels before being sworn in to practice.

Shrien's family is very wealthy and that wealth has only been able to keep him in the uk until now. The South African tourism board is determined to show the world that this was not a random act of violence.

I didn't mean to question the ability of the Judge, just wondered if it's not better to be tried by a larger panel, be it a jury or more than one Judge. Either way I hope that this lady's family will finally get justice.

Raising the question, would you murder someone you'd just married?

Hope justice is done, a very despicable act and very distressing for brides family and friends.
