I could not possibly allow, permit or countenance my partner sleeping with or have sex with other men. Indeed I would go further and say that my partner / wife must never have had sex with any other man and must be a virgin when we meet ............................ this is no moral or prudish objection however; it is just that I simply cannot stand criticism!
ohh come on
leave the moral stuff aside
what do you care? she is intitled to do whatever she wants (even if she is married to you) ,afterall it is a free world
Hi,
Firstly, the word 'allowing', for me personally (and this is just my personal opinion) promotes an idea of ownership. No person can own another. I have an open relationship with my partner. We have been together for 3 and a half years and have rarely fallen out. And on the occasions we have it was just a case of taking time apart, reflecting and evaluating, then discussing it. No harsh words exchanged. Last year I also had a relationship with somebody else, and the three way dynamic was idyllic (I'm not talking about sex) I am honest about my work. Indeed, at times within my work I have discovered something new which I've been able to share with him ;-)
The truth is, or at least my truth, is that we are dynamic, energetic beings, and sexual energy is not stagnant. It moves through people, and as long as there is open, honest communication there is a possibility that being open can strengthen relationships, and create more intimacy and closeness x x
???????? Please re-read my post again!!!!! I think you may have misread it. I would hope that it is somewhat humorous but is is certainly not moralistic!!
(And unfortunately I cannot even claim credit for originality. I pilfered it from a book I read 30 years ago entitled "Out of Africa" the memoir by Isak Dinesen, a pen name used by the Danish author Baroness Karen von Blixen-Finecke, first published in 1937. Most people have not read the book but they most have seen the film of the same name dating from 1985. This film received 28 film awards, including seven Academy Awards. The film was directed and produced by Sydney Pollack and starred the amazing Robert Redford and equally talented Meryl Streep. The film is based on Dinesen's autobiographical book "Out of Africa" and a second memoir "The Shadows on the Grasses". ( But anyway ......................
