    Default Northern Lights

It is raining here and cloudy, and I am not that far into the North, but there is a very red sky that shines even through the clouds. I think anybody that has a view of a clear sky(as if ?) should have a reasonable show of Northern Lights.

Some of the older folks, (and I am not young myself) have described them in the past as several different colours and a really fantastic display.
Only colour I have ever seen is red. Tonight was really bright but spoiled by the cloud cover.
I am told to really see it properly you need to be in the extreme north like Donegal or better still Scotland or Scandinavia, but tonight was the brightest I remember ever seeing them.

Some people have to have the last word,
but they don't actually want you to stop talking,
as they like the sound of their own voices too much.

I am from Alaska where the lights dance through the sky on a nightly bases . Its pure magic to watch. The further north the colder and clearer the sky is ....the easier they are to see.
They are everywhere but not always visible.
The Japanese come to Alaska in the dead of the winter to observe the lights whilst bathing in the natural hot springs. They believe if yhey conceive a child under the lights then that child will have an especially lucky life.
Wish I was there now at Chena Hot Springs , Alaska. Magic!
