Default What are you rights if raided...

Was having a chat the other day and the question of getting raided came up and I asked the girl if she knew her rights. She said she didnt and asked me if I knew. To be honest I couldnt answer her concisely. I remember it coming up here before but couldnt remeber all the details. Its important every girl should know exactly her rights in situations like this.

Could somebody fill us in with what are an escorts rights if visited by the gardai.

The difference if working alone and with a friend.
Can your money, laptop, phones be confiscated if working alone.
What documentation is required before you allow entry to your premisis.
Are they allowed enter your hotel room without warrant.
Does there have to be a female garda present....

    etc.. etc.. etc...

Just to add to that a little, I'd advise you politely tell the gardai that you will be remaining silent until you speak to a solicitor. On the chance you were to go to court for whatever reason the judge and the court will always recognise your right to remain silent during questioning without a solicitor.

A garda cannot enter your residence unless he has a warrant. He can ask you to answer questions there and then but you have the right to refuse until the following day.He has to arrest you on a charge for you to go there and then.

One girl working in the premisses, with warrant they can search through her stuff. Without a warrant no.
Two girls sharing with a warrant or without is the same .

Now, if they do not have a warrant and the girls sharing let the police in and allow them to have a look around , they can get arrested for sharing and the evidence will be gathered without a warrant.

There is the right to ask for their badge number , ring the station on the landline number and ask about those guards in your house.

The station should tell you if they have to be there, if they have a warrant or not and if they do not, ask them to leave if the girl/s is/are not comfortable with the situation.

By law, on suspicion of illegal activity going on in a place , yes, they can.
