Ok before I start my rant I am fully aware of the no posting images of children on this site,,,which is reasonable given that it is a adult site.

Last week i posted thread praising an Irish version of Avicii "wake me up" it was made by a Gaelscoill, yes the people in the video were under 18, maybe 16-18 at a guess,,,

THE THREAD WAS DELETED WITHIN MINUTES!!!

The reason I was given was there was underage people in the video,,,my immediate response was fair enough,,,there was teenagers under 18 in the video,,,the is not sexualization of the people in the video,,,they are all just having fun singing a song,,,and singing it really well in IRISH which is virtually impossible,,,the irish language is no a nice sounding language by any stretch of the imagination,,,

But I began to think of all the videos on "what song sums up your mood..." thread,,,and of all the videos there,,,which is in the general chat forum,,,a quick look through the videos and you will find pages and pages of music videos with underage people in them and underage artists,,,two examples,,,Jackson 5 - they were 7-15 in the video(guess) Justin Beiber he was 14 when he released his first song,,,the video I posted in my thread is there too,,,It wasn't deleted,,,but when I posted it,,,the thread was deleted,,,Really WTF???

why is this rule being enforced on some threads and not on others????

At a guess 30% of the videos on the music thread feature people underage,,,either performing or in the audience

And you cant say a Jackson 5 or any other video that the performer is underage at the time but is overage now is ok,,,they are kids in the video!!!

So why delete my thread which was simply complementing a talented group of irish people???

Okay, the mods and I revised this again a few days ago and decided that because some people were posting videos with teenagers in them, aimed at teenagers, that it would be better to un-relax the rule, err on the side of caution and say, 'no kids' on the forums. Naturally, we aren't going to troll through thousands of pages to delete all the videos.

No, because there seems to be under 18s in it. This is why we aren't relaxing the rule; because people are trying to challenge it constantly for the sake of it.
