Ah, it wasnt a great documentary. Very stereotype... of street girls/ window hookers / escorts. etc.
I disagree it was actually good that it differinciated between different sex workers. and the street girls got the most stereotypical light cast on them for good reason, they dont have a premises to work from...with a shower which makes the difference between them night and day in my opinion
never even thought of going with a street girl, its the lowest of the low and seedy Id imagine, and deffinately infinately more dangerous and can charge 20 quid or whatever cause they dont have any overheads like escorts do, or even a brothel to work in lo. street girls should be outlawed...no wait they already are, street girls are dangerous for everyone involved and shouldnt be tolerated. leave escorts alone though. that right there is safe sex as we all know

I'm afraid I don't agree with you. For one, do they not need condoms? I'm sure they can source some for free, but not all the time.

I would imagine that people that work on the street are often the ones that need the money the most. Unless you are able to give a solution that will help them to cope financially, then all you would be doing is taking a way a life line. Look at this way. Many of those girls, prefer the idea of Sex Work, than complete and utter poverty. They are taking control of their situation, even if it is in a way that they don't particularly enjoy. What are the alternatives?

Instead of actively trying to make their lives harder, how about actively trying to make it safer, cleaner and less seedy?

Where it wad differentiated well and I do agree with you on that, it was ruined by Jodie moaning on about the men all being fat and ugly. Now if you are cool with that and you think that is right, then that is your opinion, but that is not the case from my experience.

Each time a positive was presented it was pushed back down by Jodie harping on about not liking the idea of having sex with men she doesn't fancy. She is unable to establish in her mind that not all women are the same and we don't all think the way she does, so therefore what might be a problem for her, may not be a problem for us. Good presentation should be unbias and balanced and I found that this was not for that reason. It is a shame.

Women who could never psychologically? do this job are of course, going to think they could never sleep with an ugly man. One of my best friends who is a 9 to 5er never understands it, but respects my choice.

That is fine and of course possibly most women feel this way, but when you are presenting a show you need to remain open minded and not influence people. The respect would be shown by saying. I know that it is not something that I could do, but I can see that you are happy with our choice and it is totally your decision to do this work, so who am I to say it is wrong?

I know you said that you know Jodie and she has never made you feel bad about what you do. I just wish that was the Jodie who was presenting the show and not the one that thought it was sickening and just couldn't see it through the other ladies eyes.

thats just superficial unbias, anyone with half an independantly thinking brain and grasp of english should be able to see that its clearly her opinion, the clue is in the fact she said I alot. I could never... ext I think that...
its when the fuckers try to make it sound like it NOT their personal opinion and is in fact fact that is more damaging. at least with her its obvious its her own PERSONAL opinion which she is entitled to have unlike the guy from netherlands who was talking about the usual unfounded statistics with no sources and making that sound like fact

It's seeds of doubt funlover. The two girls starting an agency. Even after their interview, which was very positive. She said that she still can't believe that they really enjoy it. Later on she said that she felt that fundamentally Sex Workers must be broken in some way and have some thing in their past that wasn't good, just like the girls on the streets that she met, that were in that position. It's the fact that each positive, was then balanced out with a seed of doubt and a negative.

For me I find that frustrating. Of course I'm going to, because she is talking about the job that I do and how I feel and it is wrong. I don't consider myself high end either. Where was the representation for the middle ground? The Independent Escort, who is self motivating and providing a service as and when she wants to, in the environment that suits her and is happy and able to refuse work if she does not like the sound of the client? I didn't see that.

I can tell you one thing now and that is if a client came to me and thought he could treat me like a piece of shit and be actively hurting me, I would not be pretending to enjoy it and let him get on with it, because he paid. I would kick him out the door and blacklist him and tell as many of my friends as I could to steer clear, because he is an arse hole.

I didn't see that attitude and confidence being represented. I didn't see me in any of the women really, but I know there are a lot of Escorts that work in a very similar way to me and they are happy with the way they work too.

I hope her current boyfriend new about the documentary before it came out, or she could be in a bit of trouble now.
No sex in 2 and 1/2 years, and it doesn't look like its going to change any time soon

The second bit was referring to the 21 year old. They showed a statement at the end that she had left Escorting and was now living with her boyfriend.

I hope when Jodie does have sex again, it is with her Mr Right and she settles down. She comes across as someone who desperately needs to be loved. I really do hope she finds that.
