    Default Drinking driving

Oh how I miss the days that you could have two pints after work on a friday night have the craic and drive home sober! These days you can't have any?

you're probably right there- how many pints are we talking about?

How did you survive 2 years off the road?

Anyone that gets behind the wheel of a car after drinking alcohol should be chemically castrated ...

You mean because it's irresponsible or that it's against the law. I'd say that very few accidents were caused by people with 2 pints or less over the years. If you were to to this 10 years ago you could be talking about 1m castrations!

I agree with you in relation to driving while intoxicated as many innocent lives have been lost over the years due to this!

How many of those two pints led to three, then four? Maybe not for everyone, but for enough people to cause plenty of damage. Zero tolerence all the way.

Exactly there is no excuse for it. None. I dont care where you live, people have the right to drive, walk or do whatever they want without the risk of some drunken idiot behind a wheel killing or maiming them. I knew a guy that was involed in a crash as a passenger. Both of them were drunk. He is now deceased. Good riddance and I knew this guy well. Graveyards are full of innocent people killed by clowns like this.

However if you crunch the numbers, walking home plastered is more dangerous than driving home after a couple of scoops
