Attacked outside escort's door on Aungier Street (jumped), warning about late nights

2 weeks ago I was jumped by 4 men and had a concussion and broken nose while ringing outside at 4am for one of the escorts to open the door. No, i won't say the name of the escort. My warning, be careful at this time and this location. Aparently it was a random attack, I have no evidence the escort(s) had anything to do with the incident.

I have no memory of the incident (concussion), woke up in A&E, and there are no CTV cameras in the location. Luckily a group of bystanders jumped in a saved me. He gave me his phone number and told me what he saw while I was in the hospital, the rest was told to me by the escort who saw the attact through a window aparently. I still have 2 fractures in my nose and 2 black eyes, and stiches over a temple area. Be careful, as the attendent at a SPAR told me, dublin is much more dangerous at night then it used to be before the recession, even south Dublin.

Sorry to hear you got hurt, but I would have thought common sense told you that walking the streets at 4am in the morning, brings a certain level of danger. I personally would never go out alone past midnight or take a booking past 10pm.

I'm wondering if naming the street is helping with the on going safety of the girls?

that street, wud be one of the big social streets, loads and loads of bars, and large numbers of hammered people

never saw much happen there, but there a good few apartment blocks, behind it, which are a bit dodgy

surprised ive often walk home alone form there, as it is so busy

I don't think it was a racist attack RodeoMan, i've been in Dublin for a long time and look more caucasian than Indian in my opinion. My parents are from northern India, the "entrance way" to India for invaders, and as a result gene mixing took place and the population is lighter skinned.

I dont think it will hurt the safety of the escorts themselves per se, but maybe their business during late nights. However if mods require they can edit that part out.

I've walked alone many times , but 4am is a unique hour when clubs are usually closed and the streets more quite, possibly, dangerous than say 2:30-3am.

Its also more obvious if the only people behind the door are escorts. Apt blocs off main roads are my preference.

Personally I think all D2/8 is a big shit hole. South of the river I try to keep to D4/6
