Am I right in thinking that you may as well call a woman plug ugly as to describe her as being fairly attractive?

Its been asked before... the choice set is a bit dodgy...
You have a choice of Very attractive, fairly attractive, neither attractive or unattractive, fairly unattractive and very unattractive.
There really should be a slot between Very attractive and Fairly attractive…. As in just “Attractive”
I feel it should read:
Very attractive
Attractive
Fairly attractive
Meh
Fairly unattractive

Not everyone is very attractive. If somebody described me as very attractive, I'd know they were lying, all of the other options are very believable though.
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

The ones I have highlighted I have been saying all along. It's quite a leap from 'very' to 'fairly'. What's wrong with simply being 'attractive'.
I think different men use the terms given in different ways. Some are very strict with the accuracy of their reviews and try and be logical and measured, as they feel they are helping others with a true reflection of the experience. They think of 'very' attractive being like a 'model', so the best term for someone they find attractive but not the front page of Nuts, gets 'fairly'.
Where as another person might put 'fairly', because the girl was not his normal 'type', but he still enjoyed being with her and found her to be attractive. While another person might put 'fairly' to spare her feelings and he just wasn't attracted by her.
The fact is, it is impossible to be everyone's 'type' and sometimes we find ourselves attracted to people we wouldn't normally go for, as there is some kind of chemistry there. Fairly attractive in my eyes, doesn't mean that the lady is ugly, but that for that person, she is away from the 'norm' of what he finds attractive, or his mindset of what 'Very attractive' means. It is an unnecessary dilemma for some, who feel the woman is attractive in his eyes, without being like a super model, as it would be so simple to just have the word 'attractive' with no adjective, as it does what it says on the tin.
Plus, if 'fairly attractive' meant they were pug ugly, why would the guys that wrote that about a lady keep going back? Surely they have to be attractive, otherwise why would you do it with so many raving beauties out there to choose from?
