I think Doc is our very own version of the stig, a legend lurking in the midst, modest about how he helped shape the world we live in today.

He's been through wars, revolutions, lived to see empires rise and fall and now he holds this as him home.

Some say he's wanted by the CIA, and that he sleeps upside down like a bat... all we know is, he's called Doc.:
