Yes, your doctor is correct. The test is only 92% accurate in detecting a Positive , and will give you a false positive 1 out of 5000.
Condoms are not a 100% either, nor are Birth Control Pills, yet they are widely used and hugely beneficial .
Nothing should , nothing can replace a visit to the clinic (or your private doc) , but using all tools available is better than not

Might there be people out there who may be reluctant to go to a clinic, but might use a mouth swab in
the privacy of their own home ? The more info and more tools , the better... in my very humble opinion
