Okay, but you do work a lot in the Republic. Lillian doesn't. So I find it odd that anyone would expect her to travel four hours or so each way to protest against proposed legislation in a country which, as far as I know, she has never even been in before. Especially when most of the people asking this are affected, and I didn't see them on television either.

I tour Ireland, I dont stay in a place, I am up to North this week. Actually Belfast is not in Ireland, is UK, so neither I was in the Republic working . As for she never works here . They will be on the news at 5:30pm and also a longer slot on the Vincent Brown show at 11:30pm.

I think what he means is that because Lillian only works in Northern Ireland, then the laws that are passed in the Republic of Ireland don't affect her. So why would she come to Dublin to protest a change to Irish law? Probably in the same way that if they were to change laws in the UK then no one here would travel to London to protest.

It is sad that there are people who can only find reason to complain about Rachel and LBT's efforts. At least they are both taking a pro-active approach by putting their necks out and trying to do something about it. Of course there are escorts that can't or won't do it for other reasons, and that is understandable too; it takes a lot of gall to do this and it can be very risky. Many ladies may have been too far away to attend also.

At least TV3 were good enough to respect the privacy of these ladies and allow them to cover up their faces. This is a big deal, and if Rachel and LBT turned up wearing bin liners, so what? They are judged by what they do and who they are, and ripping at their attire is secondary.

We also don't need to be political about it. Rachel has worked in the North and still has the option to do so if the laws come into play, but yet she is protecting the best interests of the sex workers and clients in the South too. LBT has been campaigning for sex workers rights for decades, yet sadly there are individuals that mock her.

Please keep this thread on topic. It is a pat on the back for two women that are trying to change history!

Ireland is Ireland. Changes in any part will effect the other eventually anyway. If someone doesn't want to get involved with the media that's their choice but with regard to you going public, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I understand you didn't know you'd be on TV but if you put yourself out there you have to expect feedback - good and bad.
