That's what I'm curious about, I just can't figure it out. Envious that you weren't picked as a voice perhaps ? And if not envious, why so bitter ?
And yes, let's keep it real here, Both Rach and LBT showed great courage today and deserve congrats not bitterness and piss, I mean if criticising dress sense is all you have, you've little to bitch about.
Also, you seem to have a thing for tonight's Niall Boylan show, perhaps you at one stage considered an appearance or were due to appear on the show and are pissed that your own good doings have been overshadowed ? Just a theory.........

lillian: I think you need to take up your grievences with the editor of that piece, cause they were the ones who decided to got with the shot of the girls walking in front and the camera man behind [ha no pun!] to give maximum stereotypical impact for the piece that was aired rolleyes are for the editor no you lillian.
the clothes that rachel was wearing were just like the girls [any girl] you see out on a normal day..and when I say just like , I mean just like, infact most girls Ive seen out and about wear leggings like that this time of year.
It was raining too and cold. which is an aside, but played its part in what racel wore for standing in pissing rain and near freezing temperatures today.

This thread has me with a serious mix of emotions, first I really am in awe of you ladies (Rachel, LBT) for your courage to stand up for you and your profession and the ladies that work in it, whatever anyone feels about you they have to give you the highest respect for doing it
Now for the anger, the absolute cheek of that Lillian one, she doesn't even deserve to be directly addressed, I didn't see anyone else standing beside the ladies and that is why they are receiving their well deserved appreciation from us, it is not a criticism of the many ladies that do what they can, I'm sure we all appreciate their work also but to have the neck to speak out about anyone who tries just shows her ignorance. I've absolutely no respect for her and if she is what she thinks is good representation she is sorely mistaken.
As for the ladies attire, , they looked like 2 normal people, casually dressed, and I think the camera showed that, hey look at them, no gold, feathers or tacky fur coats (Sorry Stephanie).
Ladies for a short interview you both came across brilliantly, well done

I will disagree with you on one point here anon. If Lillian feels that a different dress code would have portrayed a different image to the public then she has every right to voice that opinion. You may not agree with her but to say that she doesn't deserve to be addressed because you disagree with her opinion is showing you to be ignorant.
Lillian as far as I can see is referring to public perception. The media manipulate.. and to show lower body images of the ladies whilst walking was, in my opinion putting a subliminal 'streetwalker' image out there. Highly unfair! But that's how the media work. They would have found it more difficult to portray that image had the ladies been dressed in suits. You have to be a step ahead of the media!

I haven't read every comment on this thread, but it would appear that no matter what the ladies had worn or said someone would have taken issue with it.
I fail to see how Rachel was dressed portrayed any 'image'. It was normal winter dress for any young woman. I know she was understandably anxious about going, but her concern and commitment are genuine for everyone involved. The points she made were, I have no doubt, heartfelt and sincere.
Let's lay off the ladies and encourage them in support.
Well done Rachel and LBT.
