And it depends what's required? A few bob or donating a kidney, etc..

I'd like to think I'd be sacrificial for family or close friends but have never been called on yet.

I am less good when it comes to total strangers. I get more cynical as time goes on with people I don't know.

If by helping someone out costs me just a bit of my time then I am fairly generous, if it's more serious then it really depends, I give blood, have given platletts, have a bone marrow donor card and organ donor cards. I'd have no issue with giving a kidney to a family member, after that what I would, wouldn't or have done is just blowing my own trumpet..

Life can be pretty unforgiving and we can (and do) make catastrophic mistakes during our time here That ultimately endangers others.

Can we rise above that when life is in danger?
