I study religion, religious history of every religion out there in my spare time for fun. I'm going to be writing a book about it soon I hope.

Believe it or not, I'm actually one of the most religious people I know. I dont follow a particular church as my faith and beliefs are that of the very earliest Islam and Muslim following. Before it was f*cked up. Even the majority of Muslims do not practice the religion how it was meant to be followed.

I only put this on here so I dont get bomb barded with questions. If anyone wants to know more right now you may find some interesting facts in " Introducing Islam "

Please please please keep religion OFF these boards, it only ever sparks controversy, it's something everyone tries to avoid getting into a debate about yet most will wade in with their own beliefs, a friend of mine once said something to me about this type of debate and it stuck he said "it's like arguing about whose imaginary friend is right / better" it cannot be won!!
So I know your comments are just harmless fun but please pick different analogies

Your ref to the oldest form of Islam is not the one that is followed by a small group in Iran is it. I remember a report on newsnight a few years ago about them being persecuted for following a divergent path as the authoritys in Iran saw it, can't remember the name of their form, but it was not Sunni or Sheia (I know thats spelt wrong), actually if you've time sometime I've always wanted to know the dif. between the two main branchs.

I agree that the basic tenents of most religions are sound, but always get subverted to other ends, Roman Cat. or as now Islam.

I think you are suited to Islam, as you call the faithfull to your mineret with ease...

There is another, what is a sin? Well personally I say its only a sin if it leaves a victim, innocent victim. Make of that what you will, but with that logic I have managed to answer all moral and difficult problems questions thats been put to me so far. Trust me it works.

I was baptized RC Alexi but became an Atheist the day that a Parish Priest came to our house the day after my Mother came home from Hospital after having Her right Arm amputated at the elbow to save her life from complications with another illness, and the priest said to her face while her bandages were still bleeding and I quote “what do you expect when you don’t go to church” that finished me with religion and the only rule I follow is to do no wrong on another, and if everyone did that we all be flying.
