According to the papers she was subjected to a gang rape by 6 men, on a bus, driven around Delhi & that she was systemically beaten with iron bars at the same time.

I've only read one report that said she aparantly took poison on Wednesday. Her rapists beat her body & head with iron bars before inserting the iron into her, hence the internal organ damage.

I disagree that she's better off dead. What you say is harsh. Many people experience rape and live with it forever. It isn't an easy task but it beats having your life literally taken: as in you die as a direct effect of the rape or take your own life because of it.

If you go over the court cases, you'll see that the testimony was very inconsistent. The parents were trying to get money out of this guy, that's all. MJ was certainly a bizarre individual, but there is no evidence of him being a pedophile; so lets not throw around these wild groundless accusations.

Pay his way out with what money? the man was up to his neck in debt.

Of course we would've rather seen her live and fulfill her future; but she didn't and we can at least take some comfort in the fact she's no longer suffering.
