Some nations are renowned for low intelligence levels, others for low hygiene levels. Others yet...... for both
I would agree though that people are generally fairly stupid everywhere. Just a look at this forum shall convince anyone

The US is a rich tapestry of many different beliefs. Whilst there are progressive minds, there are antiquated beliefs that should be left in the past.

Look at the Kids shooting. Yes, you have right minded people who want gun control. Yet before the Children are even laid to rest you you have guys looking like they are from the Dukes of Hazard talking about their constitutional rights to 'bear arms'. Let's get something straight, this isn't the wild west and the Indian's aren't coming! There is no need to walk around like Little Bill from Unforgiven!

So I maintain that there are some stupid minds in the US. But that isn't to say the whole country is daft.

The tapestry is so mixed that I want to do a tour of the country, where i can get to know the different cultures

I would never make a blanket statement "The level of stupidity in the UK is incredible!!!" , based on any or multiple questionable cases.

Anyway, this isn't the thread to quibble over whether there is a level of stupidity in America, where religion and a constitution made in a bygone era hold a sizeable public backing. If I have caused offence to an American citizen such as yourself I apologise and that wasn't the intention.

Or balaclaved up to the teeth, because a flag was removed from city hall. But all cultures have glaring examples of stupidity. The point is that, one individual uttered a rather sexist, and benighted supposed statement. We can sit here all day long and nit-pick about whose country is stupider, has the most stupid people, or the silliest laws. What, I am curious to know, will that gain?

I just wrote a length reply and deleted it. I explained my post but also my belief that I don't want a serious thread sullied by nit picking on the meaning of a comment.
