and we are all entitled to our opinion, in the 30 years I have followed football, when a player scores in front of the opposition I have seen 100's of players celebrate like that and yet not many have had injuries, thankfully.

Rooney wasnt 'baiting' anyone unless taking a corner is baiting & I believe they would of kept throwing shite regardless of where Ferdinand celebrated, the fans are mindless thugs who need permanent bans from football stadiums.

It has and will continue, not to surprise me, but to shock me when anything like yesterday's behaviour happens.

If anyone throws anything at a player the game should be stopped until the culprit is outed.

Going slightly off topic, I don't think social media has helped. A lot of fans read bile all week from morons on the net. I think there seems more hatred these days and this is reflected in the behaviour.

As I already said the fans were throwing stuff way before that happened and probably would have continued to do so regardless of where the Man United lads celebrated.
