I'm a bit disappointed with the 4th series. It's gone too soapy for me. I know they killed a cat and all that! It's too slow compared to the first few series. I think Nidge isn't strong enough to be the boss. They got rid of John Boy too soon. They should have kept Darren he would have beena better boss than Nidge. I hope Nidge gets it this week. He really annoys me! This thing with Danno and Nidge dragged on too long. They got rid of Danno too soon I think.

I thought the same as you , disappointed with ending , Like why did nidge go back to the Garda station ?
All though i still enjoyed the series x
he went back to the police station as a "fuck you" type of thing. To show them that he believes he is now untouchable
they have a limited budget so maybe the writer would have liked a better ending ie a few more episodes to finish it but he doesn't so this now sets it up well for season 5

To be fair i think the ending was very good, one of the great strenghts of the series as a whole is that it hasnt been predicitable
and they succeded in that again. They have left so many story lines open to be taken in different directions in the next srries.
Nidge pissing on the Gardais milk was in the best traditions of Gangland Dublin, was like something the General would do, the
trick next series is to keep the variety,as we have seen from all the great series u just run out of road when plots either become
repetitive or unbelievable and then gets predictable.
One advantage it has at 6 episodes the series are short and leave u hungry for more
Blatant promotion should be outlawed
