Yes, it is September and already the card shops and supermarkets are stocking up on festive merchandise. On the radio, a woman is claiming to have done half her Christmas shopping already!
In four weeks time, the high streets of every town and city in good ol' Blighty will be rammed to the hilt with a plethora of Crimbo decorations and colourful bulbs, glowing in the darkness of the early Autumn/Winter nights.
Some (if not most) of you will hate me for starting this thread, but is anyone else feeling the looming, impounding sense of doom or urgency just to get the shopping out of the way for this year's festivities?
