Exclamation 3.06 Silence: Hillsborough - The TRUTH

Today at 3.06pm the people of Liverpool will be holding a 2 minute silence in memory of those who died at Hillsborough.

From the Echo, local newspaper in Liverpool:

Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson said: “On 12 September we are hoping to get the truth of what happened more than 23 years ago.

“The importance of this day cannot be underestimated, as it will trigger the start of a process which will lead to justice for everyone affected by the tragedy.

“I am asking for people to pause for just a couple of minutes at 3:06pm, at the moment when people lost their lives, as a mark of respect to those affected.“

Mr Cameron says newspapers reported false allegation about the behaviour of fans. He says the report finds flaws in the police operation and new evidence that the police carried out checks on those who had died in order to "impune their reputations".

I have no love for football, but this investigation is long over due and I am sorry for the people who were killed or injured as a result of this mess.

I think this has gone beyond the love of football.

Justice will always prevail, much support to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy

The local MP Irvine Partnick and the police got together to create a story where 'drunk Liverpool' fans caused the disaster and stole from the dead.

I remember watching the horror unfold on tv at the time, may they all rest in peace, what was done afterwards was an insult to the memories of those that died, long over due,I hope those that smeared the fans will face justice thats long over due.
