You're missing the point Leah ........... the fact is there ARE great escorts out there who DO provide a fully inclusive service (OWO, DFK etc) for 150/250 euros and it is all the "wingeing" on here which helps the regulars on here find out who they are ............. it would be impossible to avoid the Bad Escorts and to find the Good Escorts like Kat Varga, Brigitte, Alexi Diamond, Sexy Angelina etc without the posters on here "wingeing" and sharing information.

I am certainly not missing the point, maybe your missing my point. I'm never very good at stating facts I'm more into rants & since everyone else can rant on here so can I. I know there is ladies who provide everything all in & personally know a few of the woman you mentioned. If you guys can fly abroad for 20 euros & have a girl for a week for a few hundred euro's then go please go, honestly we dont mind because clients that want as much as posssible for as little as possible is not the type of clients that most reputable escorts want.

Leah in her own words, and I believe many other escorts share these opinions, is not interested in clients who go abroad seeking lower rates or as much time and companionship for as little money as possible.

But what about the many escorts out there who seek as much money for as little work as possible. If escorts are a luxury, then by definition they are non-essential and will only be availed of a) by those who can afford the luxury, and b) those with a taste for this luxury. It's not as if anybody is going to die if they d'ont have sex with an escort.

I read an interesting piece by a former Irish escort who compared the market in Dublin now as against 10 or 20 years ago. Then the market was dominated by Irish and British escorts. Whereas now these escorts would be in a minority with the influx of eastern and southern Europeans and South Americans. However prices here have held up. In the UK when they had an influx of foreign escorts prices droped. In the UK you can also get a wide range of prices reflecting the different services provided and the quality and experience of the escort. In Ireland, there is virtually a flat market rate for any given time period which bears no relationship to quality of service, service content or experience of the service provider.

The Irish punters have been taken for fools for a long time, and rightly so, because anybody you meekly accepts any dross that is thrown at them and doffs the cap in gratitude is a fool.

Most escorts who quote both Euro and Sterling rates are now overcharging in ROI given the current exchange rates. If I were to visit an escort quoting both rates, I'd be a fool not to convert my Euro into Sterling and pay her that rate.

I'm not innocent enough not to know, that the only thing that escorts respect about clients is their money. But in order to attract clients you have got to act like you enjoy the work and your time with them. There are'nt 100,000,00 clients in Ireland. There are I suspect quite alot less. If the recession bites deep enough, there will be even less and many of these will shop for bargains.

As you said, escorts are a luxury. But when that luxury is contemptuous of her potential client base, treats them like fools and basically disregards most of them for high-end rollers who can keep the luxury in the state of luxury that she believes is her GOD given right, then a reality check is in order. Hi Domy, nice to see you contributing to and keeping this tired old post alive.

The Brazilians actually are amongst those resisting price reductions the most. All new girls that enter the market are automatically quoting 150/250 irrespective of experience or service. It is not necessarily newcomers breaking ranks, but girls who have been here a while and have seen how much more difficult it has become to attract business compared to one or two years, who are now starting to offer specials. All escorts are of course afraid of a race to the bottom, but increased competition and stable/reducing demand may combine to make price readjustments inevitable.

The punting moratorium will only have an impact if punters take action. Indications however are, that escorts have them where they want them, by the short and curlies. It's a good means of focussing minds, but at the end of the day the market will always find it's own level.

Oh and by the way Domi, you d'ont have to tell me that you rock, I,m well aware of that.

A few points of clarification to your post Domy:

Higher earnings potential (hourly rates) are attracting more escorts to come to Ireland. If this were not the case, they would,nt come, except for those who have no choice as a result of trafficking.

The points of origin of many of these escorts (looking at this site) include South America, Southern and Eastern Europe, and to a lesser extent Asia. As you introduced the Brazilian girls into this post, those that I have encountered came here via Portugal, where they also did this work. Those here have friends in Portugal, and in a technological age, it does'nt take a genius to see how word of the better prospects in Ireland spreads among any given community. I'm sure the same happens in other countries.

A further example are escorts who previously toured, but now seem to have relocated here permanently.

The obvious winner if and when prices drop is the customer through more choice and lower prices. Also increased demand could also benefit the escorts. However, to automatically assume that those trying to give an economic take, however flawed, on what's happening out there, stand to gain in any other way, is simply jumping to conclusions. There's been a lot of this lately, by people who feel they might stand to loose out.

As far as the pimps/madams, as you put it, are concerned, the more genuinely independent escorts out there, the less hold they will be able to exert. A good thing all-round in my humble opinion.

There is no big conspiracy Domy ........... punters in Ireland are simply starting to realise that they can get the same service or better for less money than some Greedy Escorts are charging resulting in them being more careful about which escort they select (like it or not this message board has a huge influence on escorting in Ireland!!) which in turn is resulting in financially clever Good Escorts lowering (or at least not raising!!) their prices to become one of the escorts on a potential punters ever-shortening list. That's it in a nut-shell ...........
