Default I am the only one that is not a LOTR nerd?

Increasingly in my time around various escorting forums, there seems to be a common denominator of the use of terminology from J.R.R Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings fantasy novel. I have neither saw any of the trilogy of film adaptations, nor saw a copy of the particular text, nor have any interest in doing so as I regard such fictional fantasy is as much use to me as a lifetime supply of Viagra would be to a corpse.

So, is there anyone else who has not had the misfortune of polluting their mind with such idle refuse? Is there anyone who has polluted their mind with such idle refuse and benefited from their escapism within it? Does anyone else have any other unassorted views?

    PMSL!

The Lord Of the Rings was possibly the best piece of Childrens Fiction ever written. You veer wildly between a bewildered hobbit and Gollum

    Who say escapism isn't usefull?
Simplicity can be a good thing, you look at the movie or read the book, you know who the good guys are, you know who the bad guys are, you know the good guys are gonna win, uncomplicated unlike real life

I was a C S Lewis child and I used to read it to my son too, once we had got through all the pooh bear stories. We finally graduated to Captain Underpants! Oh and I graduated to Philip Pullman and the Northern Lights Trilogy.

As a life long reader I love getting to a good book, but to each their own.
