One of the greatest films trilogies ever.

You're looking waaaaaaayy too much into it, it is, at the end of the day, only a film, a form of entertainment.

I enjoy fantasy and science fiction, as well as history, biographies and current affairs. Each has their own benefits and uses, and the snobbery that some people show is both pointless and offensive.

    As CS Lewis said :

"When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up"

The comic book character significance of that was lost on me. I wouldn't call her real namesake fictional however, as she can be found from Nenagh to Parkgate Street to Inns Quay to Old Bailey Street

In terms of reading, I have very little interest in fantasy certainly, but everyone is welcome to their own. I was really just aroused to start this thread as references are frequently made to LOTR by others but I don't have the advantage of understanding them.
