    Unhappy Useless gifts

I've just spent a few days in a hotel that for some reason decided to give me a rubber duck as a gift in my room. The fact there was no bath was odd enough, but when I tried to float it in the sink (yes I am a child) it flipped over and drowned. I was so sad.

What a useless and pointless gift.

Have you ever been given anything this pointless or can you top it?

Pmsl at that Kate,a rubber duck that drowns,a bit like a life belt that sinks, still its the thought that counts, lol,as a child I did get a half crown as a present ,even though it was useless as we had pounds and pence at that stage for nearly a year.

Three family members each gave me a copy of the same book one Christmas. It wasn't a best-seller, I hadn't dropped hints about it and it wasn't something I was interested in.
... I wonder was it on sale?
Anyway, they didn't coordinate. Wasn't quite what you were asking but is gift related.

... then of course, there was the incident with the chocolate dildo...
